Berry patches planted in the shade of oak and olive trees, with great southwest exposure, in sandy loam, and morning shade, with daily picking needed in the very first summer, these varieties include Double Gold, Caroline, Himbo, Top Prelude and Anne: they’re sequenced to assure a steady stream of berries from June through September…at least, we hope so! Compost, mulch, biochar and sulfur feed the soil, and the berries.
