La Puma Farms Visitor FAQ

What makes a Tour of La Puma Farms Special and Unique?

A private farm tour with Dr. John La Puma — physician, chef, and farmer. Walk our regenerative farm in the Santa Barbara hills with the doctor who pioneered Culinary Medicine, now taught in 80% of U.S. medical schools, and is doing the same for Nature-as-Medicine. Taste what you’ll learn. Take home what we grow. Two hours that change how you eat and how you choose what you eat.

Who comes to the Farm?

La Puma Farms is a working regenerative farm and private residence run by Dr. La Puma, Kandi, and one helper. Every tour is private, screened in advance, and led personally — never more than one group on the farm at a time.

Couples on a Santa Barbara weekend, small adventurer groups, alumni and convention visitors, multigenerational families celebrating an occasion, serious gardeners, and food lovers in search of new tastes and old-world Santa Barbara beauty.

WHAT'S THE COUPLE'S TASTING WALK?

A focused 45-minute tour with Dr. La Puma, designed for couples visiting Santa Barbara for the weekend. A walk through one part of the farm — vineyard, olive grove, or hives — with a seasonal tasting and a take-home farm gift. Same screening, waiver, and prepaid reservation as our full private tours. Choose your focus when you inquire.

Best for: visiting couples, anniversaries, first-time guests.

How can I get tickets and a reservation?
